Building a Better Standard for Quantitative Market Research

Most trading ideas disappear into private notebooks, chat groups, or black-box systems. We believe market research should be documented, tested, and reproducible — so it can be studied, challenged, and improved.

Every published MPM Research Project is intended to be questioned, challenged, improved, and independently verified. Research advances through scrutiny — not through unquestioned acceptance.

Why We're Building This

Most industries advance because researchers publish their work. Trading rarely does.

Many trading ideas are never documented. Many failed ideas are never shared. Very few studies can be independently verified.

We want to change that. We believe market research should remain useful long after it is published.

Our goal is to build a growing collection of transparent, reproducible futures market research. Every published project includes the full methodology, the complete trade ledger, the source code, and an honest discussion of limitations — so buyers can verify every claim on their own data. Research that does not produce a reliable edge is documented with the same care as successful research.

Not just winning strategies. Research.

How MPM Research Works

  1. 1Market Observation
  2. 2Research Question
  3. 3Historical Testing
  4. 4Validation
  5. 5Publication
  6. 6Community Review
  7. 7Research Improvement

Research is never finished. Every published project remains open to challenge and improvement — and accepted improvements become part of the published record, with credit to the contributor.

Each project page documents the complete 13-step research workflow this lifecycle summarizes — from market observation through validation to publication.

The Intelligence Circle extends this philosophy — a member-only research environment containing advanced market research, historical investigations, and trading strategies developed using the MPM research framework.

Our Publishing Principles

Every published MPM Research Project should strive to be:

  • Transparent
  • Reproducible
  • Independently verifiable
  • Educational
  • Honest about limitations
  • Evidence-based
  • Open to improvement

These are values, not marketing claims. They apply to our own research and to every submission we review.

Available Research Projects

A long-only strategy on Nasdaq-100 futures — no indicators, every entry decided by a statistical rule computed directly from price, independently verified using a second backtesting engine, and published with every number reproducible from raw data.

  • $29
  • lifetime access

S&P 500 Futures — Long-Only Strategy

A deliberately selective, low-frequency long-only strategy on S&P 500 futures — results reported net of trading costs, with the edge independently validated over a longer 26-year dataset on a second backtesting engine, and published with the complete research process.

  • 37 trades
  • 2020–2025
  • $29
  • lifetime access

More research projects are in development. Each one is published only after it passes our full validation process — and published research includes both successful and unsuccessful hypotheses.

Every published project is intended to be studied, challenged, and improved — not simply copied.

Help Improve Published Research

Research is never finished. Every published MPM Research Project is open to improvement.

If you purchased a research project and you discover a genuine improvement — a better filter, improved robustness, stronger validation, or a weakness we missed — we want to hear about it.

If your contribution passes our review and becomes part of the published research, we'll update the project and credit your contribution. As a thank-you, you'll also receive our Research Improvement Reward — currently twice the purchase price of the research project.

How the Research Improvement Reward works

  • One reward per accepted improvement, per research project, per contributor.
  • If substantially similar improvements are submitted by multiple contributors, MPM will determine eligibility based on submission timing and independent validation.
  • MPM independently reproduces every submitted result on our own data and pipeline before any improvement is accepted or any reward is issued.
  • The reward amount may change for future research projects.

The goal of this program is to encourage better research — not competition. Every accepted improvement strengthens the published record for future readers.

Submit Your Own Research

Have you discovered something interesting? An original market observation. A repeatable trading idea. A statistical anomaly. A quantitative model.

If your research meets our publication standards, we'd love to review it. Selected projects may become official MPM Research Projects, published with full credit to you as the contributor.

What we look for

We evaluate submissions on principles, not shortcuts:

  • Independent reproducibility
  • Appropriate validation
  • Realistic trading assumptions
  • Sufficient evidence
  • Clear documentation
  • Educational value

Every submission is independently reproduced on MPM's own data and pipeline before acceptance.

What we don't publish

  • Curve-fitted systems
  • Unverifiable claims
  • "Trust me" performance
  • Black-box indicators
  • Marketing disguised as research

Collaboration model

If a submitted research project is accepted for publication, we'll discuss a fair collaboration model with you before anything is published. Depending on the project, this may include a one-time payment, revenue sharing, or a long-term research partnership. The structure depends on the contribution.

How to submit

Email your submission to [email protected] with the subject line "Research Submission". Please include:

  1. Your hypothesis — what you observed and why you think it matters
  2. The exact rules — entries, exits, instruments, timeframe
  3. Your code — the complete script used to produce the results
  4. Your data source — what data you tested on, and the date range
  5. Your results — including limitations and anything that concerns you

We read every submission. Because each one is independently reproduced before acceptance, reviews take time — we'll reply as soon as we've completed ours.

Why Publish Through MPM?

You could publish your research on your own — and if that's the right path for your work, we encourage it.

Publishing through MPM means your research is independently reviewed, reproduced on our validation pipeline, professionally documented, and made available alongside a growing collection of quantitative market research — with full credit to you as the contributor. It also puts your work in front of readers specifically looking for transparent, reproducible trading research. Where appropriate, contributors may also receive research rewards or commercial collaboration opportunities.

Help Build the Future of Trading Research

Every MPM Research Project is an invitation — not a final answer. We encourage researchers to question it, improve it, and help advance our collective understanding of the markets.
